Yum...
My mixer did a good job though, as the frosting turned out perfectly. As the little one can attest to!
This is a great easy frosting, very yummy and a great excuse to bake a cake! I will definitely have to have sister stock me up when she comes to visit!

Traveling...
Great granny and the little one. It was tough to get a shot of them together. The little one was constantly on the go exploring.
After a yummy lunch of soup and cornbread we continued on to Wilmington to spend the rest of the weekend with my folks. They were kind enough to take us in for the weekend in exchange for hubby doing crown moulding in their bedroom. Grandma was so excited to see the little one again so soon and surprised her with a new fun water toy!
Notice how Grandma was smart and stayed out of range of the splashing water! She is nearly in the bushes! Unlike me who ended up wet as well! After tiring Grandma and Grandpa out the weekend was over with a short visit with hubby's folks on the way home in Murrells Inlet. Hubby's mom is recovering from back surgery and is still in the hospital. We hope she is back on her feet soon!

The Assumption Song...
Hubby has now found that the little one really enjoys watching cartoon shorts from YouTube. A few days ago he stumbled across this video, because I have a dirty mind and a trucker mouth I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope you do too! Happy Monday!

Hate it when that happens...
The little one and the dog waited patiently for me to prepare it. I promised them each a taste!
The finished product looks great but we discovered it is best if you just lick the cheesecake part off the crust and throw the crust away!
The crust was just too dry and crunchy for our taste. Cheesecake deserves a better crust!
In other news our neighbors brought these over for the little one! So sweet! I just love the embroidery! It is hard to tell from the picture but the blue towel is embroidered with brown thread which just looks so nice together.
We have a really nice couple who live behind us, their kids are grown and live a few hours from here. They love to visit Evelyn because their grand kids live so far away and they don't see them very often. She makes a good substitute grand baby for them!
That's all for now! Happy Friday!

Cleaning Up and being THAT mom...
Even the little one decided to help me. Here she is sorting the hangers for me!
Three hours later the closet is pristine. Clothing is now sorted by type and color, and I am even giving the Oprah trick another try. I was watching Oprah one day when they had a show on keeping yourself organized and they said to turn your hangers all around then wait a few weeks and see what still has the hanger turned around. It is an easy way to know what you are actually wearing. This really works, I tested it on hubby a while back.
On to the next topic... I found myself doing something today that I thought I would never do... I bought my kid this...
I am hoping that this is a phase but knowing how picky I was as a kid I'm guessing this is only the beginning.
